For those who don't like crossing the pennines to the great and greater that is Yorskhire (or maybe its a little too far or in accessible for you) how about a meeting in one of Manchester Fine (or not so fine) drinking establishments.
This will not clash with the Leeds meet (probably run two weeks after it) and will be on a Saturday
I can count myself and one other in, would any one else be interested? I've been meaning to try and start something like this for ages and forgot to ask people at Blackpool |

The tumble weeds blow through this thread
Should I just set a date, would that get anyone interested or..... if someone is interested you set a date
No the 12th April as that's when the Leeds meet is |

Ok after much thought I'm actually just going to say this meeting in Manchester will be happening on Sunday 4th May meeting at Brunswick Bar just down from the Piccadilly Train Station at 12 noon!
I'll be there and at least one other person has confirmed so far.
All levels of Magician welcome from complete beginners to proffessionals wanting to shoot the breeze and down some beers with other like minded folk.
No one has to perform though that would be great, I've been to some school night London ones and lots of the Leeds ones and have always had a great time. I've improved no end from the advice I've been given at these meets as well so they could help you.
Also you'll make more friends and you can never have too many, don't be afraid! It's a public place, the people are great and I might even buy the first round
Give me a shout if you're interested, I'll be there even if I end up supping pints alone |

I would have come mate but that's the day me Julie is back off home for a while so she'll probably want me to stand at the side of the road and wave her off. _________________ "You do not have a soul. You are a soul; you have a body." |

It's also very easy to get to by train - even for those living in the People's Republic of Wet Yorkshire (did you see what I did there?). _________________

I remember the last time I meandered my way over to Manchester for the day, I went with £40 and ended up losing most of that on the train fare _________________ All the best,

Yeah advanced bookings and fixing your train times are the way forward, I regularly do first class to london and and back for about £72.50 (two single tickets.
I only make the leeds meets as it was once my home town and I can visit the folks the same weekend.
But there must be loads of Manchester Folk and surrounding areas who fancy a beer.
If anyone needs my mobile number for the day then please drop me a PM |
