How To Pick Pockets for Fun and Profit - Eddie Joseph

If you're interested in picking pockets this great little booklet is not only a great starting place but it also provides pretty much all of the documentable material that can really be written about pick pocketing.

Of course, some DVDs or videos may explain the process better and also have very useful tips on specific aspects of this art but in all fairness pickpocketing is something that must be learnt by the would be pick pocket and so this book will definatly tell you what you need to know.

Another great thing about this book is that it is actually geared towards magicians and so you also get great ideas for incorporating pickpocketing into magic or visa versa.

The areas that are actually covered in the book are as follows:

The basic principles of pickpocketing
Misdirection Techniques
Your audience and volunteers
Stealing objects from pockets
Stealing a wrist watch
Stealing articles of clothing
Tricks of the trade
Delivering the goods
Training techniques

As you can see there is alot of things covered there but you have to be aware that this is really more mof a very well presented booklet than a full book.

Pick pocketing is a great skill to have, not only for performance value but also the inherant boldness and misdirection used in pickpocketing can do nothing but improve your skills as a performer in general.

Overall: 7/10

Thanks for that, i've been looking for a good introduction to this. The only problem with doing it to people you don't know is that, unless you're really good/famous, people will get really angry if they spot you!
