Look for 'iForce' in the apps store. It's a couple of pounds and is very fun and very convincing if dressed up properly! :D

Hmm, I was hoping no one would mention iForce, because I'd like it to stay little-known...! It's brilliant.

It isn't 'little known' anymore after apparently having featured on The Gadget Show. It's been in the top 25 apps for a while now & is selling itself with the tagline 'As featured on tv's the Gadget Show'

A far cry from the promise that it would remain underground, known only to magicians & going to the trouble of creating a duplicate drawing app to further hide the secret.

Magic I-Phone Apps

Postby Scotbloke » Mar 10th, '10, 17:00

Hi there,

Gotta say that the Penn and Teller app (P&T Chat) raised a few chuckles when showed to my friends. Really depends who your friends text (Either Penn or Teller) to ask what card was chosen though. :)

Kinda handy for those spectators that work out how it's done because at least they still get a smile out of it.

With a little bit of memory work, the app is hidden quite well.

Well, that sucks. I think it's a question of audience though - believe it or not, not everyone in the world has an iPhone, or watches The Gadget Show for that matter! People tend to have their phones out (especially iPhone owners  ) so I wouldn't use it if everyone in the audience clearly owned one, but I still think it's a very powerful thing in the right hands. In terms of audiences, middle-aged/older people (all due respect) are less likely to have an iPhone and also (again, these are gross generalisations, bear that in mind) girls! My fiancee has no interest in the iPhone whatsover, neither do any of my girl housemates, and several girls I know describe themselves as "iPhone widows" as they have lost the attention of their fellas due to the absorbing powers of the gadget! Though "cool" it also seems to be still seen as a gadget and a bit of a boy's toy.

Magicians (who are by very nature geeks) are less likely to be so impressed, but for anyone who might perform magic on a friday night to a bunch of p1ssed-up nurses, I'm quite sure it'll perform miracles.

Magic Card 2.0 for iPhone released this week

Postby dylanmalone » Mar 10th, '10, 21:03

Hey guys, I write iPhone apps, and am especially interested in ways the iPhone can help with magic presentations. I second the recommendations for iForce, it's my favorite iPhone app that I didn't write. ;)

I'm here to announce the release of my latest creation, Magic Card. I have a few free promo codes to distribute.... How about the first 5 people with U.S. iTunes accounts who IM me on the board or send email to support@renditionsdesign.com with Talk Magic in the subject line, and I'll give a free copy. Sorry about the U.S. only, Apple's promo codes just work that way. :( The app is normally $4.99, but I do have it on sale for $2.99 this week to build interest in the new release.

Spectator picks a card and puts the card face down on the table. Spectator wakes iPhone from sleep and launches the camera app. You take a picture of their card and show it to them. They yawn. Undaunted, you shake your phone, slowly at first, and then faster, until suddenly they realize that the card is now face up in the photo– and of course, it’s their card!

I'm very proud of the effect... you need a real deck of cards, because virtual cards on the phone screen suck! lol Well, that's just my old fashioned opinion. Email me for your free copy... and post a review on Talk Magic / iTunes.

Quick Tip: Please restart your iPhone after installing Magic Card, just to be sure you don't have memory issues. Almost every problem I've ever seen related to iPhone apps is cured with a power off / power on.

Thanks. I still have two more promo codes I can give away, but unfortunately they only work for U.S. customers. I suppose while it's on sale it only costs about what a deck of cards does anyhow. 8)

Hey Len, if that was you who wrote the good review on the UK App Store today (3/13/10) then thanks. That was an excellent idea you / whoever had about putting in an option for a second card revelation. I think I'm going to look into doing just that, as an option.

I have an iphone and some Magic Apps but I dont enjoy performing them.
The problem with them is: its a device, it isn't very engaging and it is difficult to make engaging.

Hey
Need a good magic trick for your Iphone? why dont you just use your creativity, and make something for yourself ? something that "no one else" do. !!!

I heve found a good one in youtube,
If you look carefully, you can learn about Iphone money printing.

NOT only to get one...BUT TWO...and can be combined with COINS production, to produze the coins you need for your next coin routine.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=agfr3x--5L8

Quite original way of produzing coins...
Anyway, watch and enjoy

Hey guys
I can see that most of you are looking for APP for the iphone.
PLease , stop looking for easy- ways.! that "RESTRAIN YOUR CREATIVITY !!!

Use your creativity, and make great tricks, using you incorported camera,
and using the pictures, make a great tricks

sample:
place a nice coulored piece of material (tissue on a table) (uni colour)
PICTURES HAS TO BE TAKEN VERY NEAR THE COINS

Take a picture of 4 coins
take a picture of 3 coins
take a picture of 2 coins
take a picture of 1 coin
take a picture of the material (tissue on a table with out coins)

Have 4 coins under the iphone, hold together (find your way)
aproach a table, tell any story you like, open the pictures departement
in your iphone, and clik on the first pictures (5 coins)

Show the picture to poeple around, making sure they see 4 coins.
By sincronizing your hands mooves, right hand palm open, flat on top of the srean, just "slize" with right hand thumb to left on the scean, and at the same time, let go ONE coin down into a glass or spectator hands.

imediatly, let every one to see that the picture showing has ONLY, 3 coins on the picture. And so on...until LAST, the the picture will show an empty
piece of stuff (TISSUE)/ ///
_________

2) To produze a coin cascade, same system
PICTURES FROM NEAR
take a picture of 4 or 5 coins
take a picture of the empty material (tissue) on a table
Do the glide again, and let go ALL the coins all together
