Very good quality cube, with easy to understand instructions. These are amazing effects with a recognisable product


Overall
This is very good, but if you don't like the grind of going over things, it's not for you.

Sorry, late response. But needed to say.. This is a nicely thought out routine. But i really struggled remembering the moves and sequences ??
But then again, i am a bit old and have trouble remembering my name sometimes
I think this effect and cube is more suited for the youngsters. Gave mine to my 22 year old son, who also does magic, and he picked up everything in one day.

Me too, fortunately I have name tags sewn in my clothes. Apparently I am Calvin Klein today....

A friend of mine bought this a couple of months back, he recently did it at the local circle in around a minute or so

He tried to explain the sequences etc but it went straight over my head

I found the cube itself of very high quality. It came in a small card box with the now familiar printed link to the instruction download.

I put it in my drawer and there it stayed for almost a year until I swapped it for something I'm more likely to use.

As a previous poster said, the sequences and sleights can take some practice, but, this is not what put me off.
I have no desire to learn how to solve a Rubik Cube, which is exactly what I would have to do if I forgot the sequence or messed it up during practice or routine. I found this too daunting and would rather spend the time on something I am more likely to use.

So, is it worth the money?

The cube is certainly a nice quality and moves with enormous ease.

If you know how to reset a cube if you mess up, or don't mind learning how to, then probably yes.

If like me you were hoping for something you could quite quickly add to your repertoire, then you'll most likely end up swapping it too before it rots in your drawer!

Thanks for that, I think I may have such a cube rotting away somewhere in Mandrake Towers....

I recently bought this, I'm 33 years old and have tried multiple times to solve a cube

After an hour watching the tutorial i solved my very first cube, i spent about 10 hours the day after learning with the cheat sheet and now i can solve a mixed cube without using the cheat sheet

Steven Brundage's work with the Rubik's Cube is very impressive.

He did some terrific Rubik's Cube magic on the Penn & Teller Fool Us show in July 2015. He also appeared on America's Got Talent the following year, between July and September 2016, making it to the semi-finals. If you haven't seen it, here's an official video clip that includes his entire Fool Us performance - it's fabulous!

As far as I can tell, Cube3 was released shortly after the Fool Us show, some time towards the end of 2015. It includes these effects (quoting ad copy):
- Imagination Solve: A slow, multiphase morph of the mixed cube that seems to solve itself.
- Toss Up Solve: A jolting solve that people never get tired of watching.
- Behind-the-Back Solve: This is the one that the world went crazy for.
- Bag Solve: A cube inside a paper bag that seems to solve itself.
- Instant Solve: Boom. Fast and hyper visual.
- Color Change solve: The cube never moves, but still finds its way to a perfect solution.

Steven was featured on one of the Murphy's Magic At The Table episodes, on 20 July 2016. Here's what the ad copy says is included in that:
- Corner to Cube: A variation of an effect Steven performed on America's Got Talent. The spectator holds the cube and selects a card. With sleeves rolled up, the corner of the selection is torn off and vanishes only to appear inside the cube that the spectator has been holding in view the whole time.
- Tips on Finger Flicking: Steven gives his best advice on how to be more efficient in solving a cube.
- Toss Solve: A non-gimmicked Rubik's cube is mixed and tossed into the air. Within the blink of an eye, it is solved.
- Bag Solve: As seen on America's Got Talent, a mixed cube is placed into a bag and within seconds the cube is solved.
- Behind the Back Solve: This effect that has received over two million views and has even gotten Steven out of a speeding ticket. A mixed cube is tossed behind the back and once it's caught, it is completely solved.
- 4 Ace Trick: A fooling four ace routine that has a kicker estimation ending.

I don't have Cube3 (which has the advantage that it comes with an actual Rubik's Cube, of course), but have seen the At The Table episode from the following year, and it's pretty good. It's available either as a digital download or as a DVD. I noticed that Merchant of Magic has both of them available - £6.99 for the digital download (link) and £7.92 for the DVD (link).

I can recommend the At The Table lecture, because you get quite a bit of material, and it's quite a bit cheaper as well. Maybe I'll post a review of it shortly. It runs for just under 2 hours altogether. How long is the Cube3 video?
