Four weeks after your last message Barry, just adding an August post to keep the forum alive!

Thought I'd add a post, just because. I was actually here using the search option to look for some reviews. Still a great resource.

That's what is really annoying.

Being a relatively new member here, I have been so impressed with the quality and diversity of content.

Compared to the constant raft of utter drivel often found on The Magic Cafe; and compared to the often pompous, elitist attitude of The Genii Forum; this place appears to strike such a useful balance.

If only I had known about this place many years back. :(

Oh well......might as well add a post to keep September 2024 alive!

As an aside and add some meaning, what are people reading at the moment?

I'm revisiting Jean Hugard's Card Manipulations and More Card Manipulations. There's a wealth of brilliant card material contained within.

If they were released today by 'a name' and deemed to be 'underground', no doubt the card move junkies and sycophants would be clamouring to buy them, possibly for ridiculous money.

I still enjoy Expert Card Technique. Well, I still enjoy TRRTCM. Never looked at Card Manipulations. I will do so.

The last book I bought - and it was so expensive (even discounted) that it will probably be THE last - was Mythology Codex by Phill Smith. It's expensive because it's a work of art as well as a thick and heavy hardback. It's an updated compilation of his earlier work, including some real stunners, particularly if you're a mentalist.

Happy November everyone!

It will soon be Christmas.

Walking around some shops over the past few weeks, you'd be forgiven for thinking it already was!
